Proteomics is the methodology used for elucidating the Proteome of an organism, organ, cell or subcellular structure. The main methodology used for this is mass spectrometry. In Sweden we have since a couple of years Swedish Proteomics Society (SPS) that is organized under Apotekarsociteten.
SPS intends to promote activities within the Proteomics field in Sweden and also acts as an interface to the international Proteomics programs. SMSS and SPS have both strong scientific links, but also strong personal links as each organization have one board member from the other Society. The home page of SPS can be found at: www.sps.se
